Devon Wills Project
The vast majority of original Devon wills were destroyed when the Exeter
Probate Registry was bombed during the Blitz of 1942.
A joint project between Devon FHS, Devon RO, Plymouth and West Devon RO and
Genuki/Devon is announced - follow this link for more details

Eventually a complete list of all Devon testamentary matter, surviving or
lost, will be published.
Initially the project will concentrate on wills and administrations, the
originals of which have been lost, but of which copies, transcripts or
abstracts have survived.
Volunteers are sought for numerous tasks.
Contact Richard Grylls ( <mailto:richard.grylls at btinternet.com>
richard.grylls at btinternet.com) if you would like to volunteer for this
project.
